LANDBEACH CHURCH BELL RINGERS

The Landbeach Band of Church Bell Ringers was re-formed in 1999 to ring in the new Millennium. We have continued to ring for half an hour before morning and evening services in All Saints’ Church each Sunday.

Practices are held on Wednesday mornings 10am - 12 noon (on muffled bells) and Friday evenings 7 - 8.30pm. There are also visits to neighbouring towers as arranged.

Landbeach Parish Church has four bells, the oldest and heaviest dating from about 1510. Expert instruction is available for anyone interested to learn this ancient art. Do come and join us.

Ringing Master: Nicholas Small, 12 Cambridge Road, Waterbeach.

Clerk: Margaret Butler, 65 High Street.

Steeple Keeper: Ray Gambell, The Old School.

LANDBEACH WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

Landbeach W.I. meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month in the Village Hall. New members are always welcome.

The W.I enables you to make friends, learn new skills and take part in the Resolution discussion on topical subjects.

Taster sessions and courses are offered on a wide range of subjects: Arts, Crafts, Music and Sport. These are available at local, county and national level. The W.I has its own College - Denman College - in Marcham, Oxfordshire.
