All Saints’ Church - All Saints' PCC is pleased to report that the Diocese of Ely has said that the parishes of

Waterbeach and Landbeach will be allowed a half-time minister to replace the Rev Lucy Cleland. The

appointment process is complicated and likely to take quite a while, but we hope to have more information by

the time the next issue of Alive! magazine comes out.

Beaches Community Car Service - This is a voluntary car service giving door-to-door transport for all

reasonable journeys such as to the doctor, dentist or other activity. We need some more volunteer drivers

from Landbeach. If you can help, please contact the Co-ordinator on 575698.

Busytots Baby & Toddler Group - More people needed on our parent rota for running the group, if you or

anyone you know of might be interested in being part of a fun group please contact Tracey Brown (860537).

Indoor Bowls - New players always welcome. We are not a competitive group - do join us for a social night

out. Terry Pauley (860600).

Village Hall - Treasurers Position : We are urgently looking for someone to provide support to the Village

Hall: 6 bi-monthly meetings a year. The post must be filled by our AGM on Th 12 Apr, when our current

Retiring Councillor

Alan Wyatt has retired from Landbeach Parish Council after 45 years. We thank him

for all his hard work and valuable contributions to Landbeach village life and wish him

well for a happy retirement.

Vacancy for Parish Councillor

Landbeach Parish Council would like to fill the vacancy for Parish Councillor by co-

option. If you are interested in becoming a Parish Councillor, please contact The Clerk

for details of what is involved and how to apply. The closing date for applications is

Monday 6 February 2012.

Commemorative Mugs for Diamond Jubilee

As part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations (more details soon), Landbeach Parish

Council is proposing to hand out commemorative mugs. These would be presented free

of charge to all village children aged under 16. Over 16s would be welcome to buy

mugs for approx £5 each. If you or your child/ren would like to receive a mug/mugs

please could you contact The Clerk (see above) letting her know how many free mugs

you would like and how many over 16s would like to purchase mugs.
