Annual Parish Meeting – All residents are invited to the APM on Thursday 30th April 2015. Speakers are:

John Mason, PCSO, Safer Neighbourhood Officer,South Cambs Neighbourhood Team, Histon and Carolin Gohler, Cambridge Past and Future.

Defibrillator - The Parish Council hope to get a Defibrillator free from East Anglian Ambulance Service, subject to the application being successful. They do not supply a cabinet so one would have to be purchased - the cost is £1,000. We are asking for donations towards this from Parishioners, Groups etc who would like to use it. Neighbourhood Watch Advice -

Please keep sheds and outbuildings securely locked at all times. There was a mid-Feb night-time burglary in the High Street from a workshop.

There are reports from local villages of overnight thefts of tools from Ford Transits by thieves with a master key - please use extra security.

There are reports from Cambs villages of persons using false ID as Police Officers, or knocking on doors with false ID as Water Officials.

So please be especially vigilant if you are called on by males dressed as utility workers, or wearing high visibility clothing. Always keep your door shut, or use a door-chain if you have one, until you are satisfied the callers are genuine. Don’t call a number the caller has given you, check your utility bill for the emergency contact number. If you feel threatened or suspicious, contact the police on 999.

Kids can get hands-on at this baby and toddler group: weekly craft activities, toys, snacks, and either a sing along or story time

This service is sadly underused. Use it or lose it! It gives you a link to the entire County Library stock in your own village. Do pop in – you may be surprised at how much you enjoy it!
